Who this actually works for
The product solves one narrow problem, so it converts for one narrow audience: people who have booked a one-way flight and are about to be asked for a ticket out. If your readers are those people, a $16 recommendation saves them the $500–$1,000 a throwaway return flight costs. If they are not, it will not convert, and we would rather say so now than waste your time.
It tends to work for:
- visa-requirement and proof-of-onward-travel guides;
- digital nomad, long-term backpacking and slow-travel sites, especially South-East Asia and Latin America;
- working-holiday, teach-abroad and expat relocation content;
- anyone who has already compared or reviewed onward-ticket services.
How the tracking works
You get a link: https://onwardticketpass.com/?ref=your-code. Your code is normally your
domain, so it stays readable in your own analytics.
When someone follows it, the code is stored in their browser for 90 days and travels with them into the checkout, so it is attached to the order itself rather than inferred afterwards. You are credited when the payment clears. There is no pixel to install and nothing to add to your site.
Why 20% and not 10%. We would rather pay a partner who has already earned a reader’s trust than pay a search engine for a stranger. A recommendation inside a guide someone is actually reading converts better than any advert we can buy, and it costs us nothing until it works — which is why we pay double what our competitors do.
The rules
Short, and all of them are about not damaging the thing that pays us both.
- No bidding on our brand. Do not run paid search on “onward ticket pass”, “onwardticketpass” or misspellings of them, and do not point ads straight at our site. You would be buying clicks we already have.
- No self-referrals. Commission on your own orders, or on orders you arrange for friends and family, is void.
- Describe it accurately. It is a reservation document for proof of onward travel. It is not an airline ticket and it cannot be flown on. Do not imply otherwise, and do not guarantee that any embassy or airline will accept it — we do not, either.
- Do not present yourself as us. No cloned pages, no using our name as your site or social handle, no support impersonation.
- No spam. No unsolicited email, no comment or forum spam, no incentivised or cashback traffic, no coupon-site listings without our written agreement.
- Refunds reverse commission. We refund on request within 14 days, no questions asked, and a refunded order earns nothing. This is why commission is held for 14 days.
- Either of us can stop. If we change the rate or close the programme we will give you 30 days’ notice, and everything you have already earned still gets paid.
Break rules 1 to 5 and we will close your account and withhold the affected commission. That is the whole enforcement policy.

Questions we expect
When do I get paid?
In the first week of each month, for everything that became payable during the previous month, provided your balance is over $25. If it is not, it rolls forward.
How do I see my sales?
We email you a statement each month listing every referred order and what it earned. There is no dashboard yet — if you want an interim figure, ask and we will send it.
Can I negotiate the rate?
If you can send real volume, yes. The rate is stored per partner, so a different number for you is a settings change rather than an exception we have to work around. Tell us what you are bringing.
Do you have creatives?
No banners. In our experience a sentence in the middle of a relevant paragraph outperforms every banner in this category, and you write better than we do for your own audience.
